I have my Pioneer AVic Navi unit. I'm actually searching right now for a back-up camera. possibly a liscence plate frame. My biggest thing is backing under the trailer ball the first time instead of getting out and inching back. I'm not gonna use the tennis balls like my father does....lol
A back-up camera that is night vision capable and a large viewing area is about $100 even with a head unit capable of one.

How much are the seperate units?

I almost forgot. .... My father just bought a new Ferd f-150 and it has a back-up buzzer in his cab. it activates everytime he goes into reverse. No picture, just the beep that gets faster as you get closer to what's behind you. i think there are 4 sensors in the back bumper. I would look around and maybe see if this is something you can get. No picture and just a few sensors sounds cheap enough and no need for huge bulky screens. Just a thought.

^^ thats what I mean when I say back up sensors. I'm fine with those too, as long as they work. I want to hear from someone what brand they have. There are so many knock offs and ebay brands that I don't know what works.

I got a wired camera system with a backup screen that attaches to the rearview mirror from ebay for about $80. It came with the screen and the camera, and all I had to do was supply the RCA cable. Works great and has night vision...

I have a system with backup sensors installed
You can find them here;

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda...A1%7C72%3A1171

I have 4 sensors in the back and 2 in the front. This guy also sells a system with only 4 sensors either for the back or front only.
The control box can be programmed for sensitivity.
Very easy install and it has the possibility to order just a single sensor if or when one them fail.

My experience with these sensors are good. Only thing that one needs to keep in mind is that one has to backup slowly to give time for the processor to process the signal.
With fast movements backwards or forward the systems reacts to slowly.
Other then that detail i,m very happy with the systems performence

^^^^ That's what I was talking about on my fathers truck. I would just wanna hear a beep myself and not have to look at a screen and the mirros at the same time. No need for anything laying around either. Seems reliable too.

that is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Did you get the straight or angle sensors?

i have a wireless one my inlaws got me for xmas. it sucks alot. but i dont have the heart to tell them, and i keep it installed. everything electronic creates interference. i wish i had a pioneer avic HU so i could use that instead.
