Mine doesnt go over 307 but Im sure thats only because my avg mpg is around 12. So if you take 12*26 you get about 312 and so thats how I think it gets it. But yes DTE does work as the tank gets empty.

well, 35 x 12 = 420.....So your DTE is still thinking it has a 26 gal tank, but the fuel gauge is reading the 35 gal tank if i recall? Is that correct?

I'm marking this thread so I can see the pics once I get home. While it would be a pain to fill up, you aren't paying for any more gas than you would if you had to fill up your tank for the same number of miles.

Now I just need to find a tank......

I'll definitely be doing this. This will help a lot when I drive the ALCAN - had enough of Alaska time to go back to GA!
