Here's what the swervice manual says:

BRAKE PADS/SHOES
REMOVAL
REMOVAL - FRONT
(1) Raise and support vehicle.
(2) Remove the wheel and tire assemblies
(3) Compress the caliper.
(4) Remove the caliper, (Refer to 5 - BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/
MECHANICAL/DISC BRAKE CALIPERS
- REMOVAL).
(5) Remove the caliper by tilting the top up and off
the caliper adapter (Fig. 12).
NOTE: Do not allow brake hose to support caliper
assembly.

WHOO! i got the calipers off. Lol i used a butter knife stuck it inbetween the pistion and brake pad and pryed lol. the piston went back in a little bit then i stuck a flat headed screw driver for a more sturdy pry.. Then i wiggled the caliper off. It was harder to take off the bracket that holds the brake pads. those bolts were tough! But all is good new brake pads and rotors for the front .. brakes work good so i dont think i messed anythign up ! !! thanks for all the help everyone! this forum is gr8! thank you

It's okay, but you need to familiarize yourself with rule number one.

If it doesn't work, get a bigger ****ing hammer.

A BFH is the #1 tool for everything.
