Default Dual Fault Codes - P0551 and ETC - 2106

I recently returned from a deployment where my 2003 Dodge Ram with 5.7L has been sitting for a long time. After driving for a hundred miles or so, two fault codes appeared. The first is ETC -2106 Force Limit Power and the second is P0551 Power Steering Performance Rational.

A little additional information, after opening the hood of my truck, I noticed a squirrel or something got underneath the hood and collected some insulation for nest making. I've made two complete passes underneath looking for damage wires, with no luck. So now I am looking for failed components, please advise.
