Default MBRP vs Magnaflow

Hello all!

I am exhaust shopping and narrowed it down to 2 different exhausts. The first is the MBRP dual split side (PN: S5128AL) and the second is a Magnaflow dual side exit before rear passenger tire (PN: 16701).

I have searched the forums to find info on these... but could only find some info on the Magnaflow. Does anyone have experience with both of these? Just wondering how they sound when comparing against each other.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Rob

I own a VW repair shop and have installed quite a few Magnaflow systems... the fit is perfect and the sound is probably the best I have heard.

I have the MBRP S5126304 on my Hemi, this is a video i took of it a month or so ago. Personally, I like the sound more than the true dual glass packs this system replaced. However, I haven't owned a Magnaflow exhaust...

Good luck deciding!

Ya,I'm aware, it's still no less ridiculous.

I have the MBRP dual split installer series.... I love em.... they sound great at WOT, not wicked loud when driving normal... install was easy and cant beat the price... after 1 yr they do show alittle rusting but not bad for what we deal with here in NY winters and road salt... Ill prolly get 2 more yrs on it b4 I get the stainless steel ones. Honestly I think MBRP knows what people want in sound and performance, You wont be dissapointed... My buddies all have the MBRP Diesle exhausts.... Way louder... And Stacks are crazy Loud... sitting in the back seat in my buddies dually almost made me wanna puke, it rumbled my stomach when he hammered on it!

Thumbs up

Awesome! Thanks for your input guys
Not much salt out here in Western Canada so I think I will go for the Installer Series.

Thanks for the video too Goliath! One question though... why does it seem like your truck is idling so high? Either way sounds great!!!

I've owned everything but a MBRP in the past so I guess I will give them a turn now
Just too bad they don't make a single exhaust though for the quad cab.
