Default EGR Valve replacement.

Anyone had to change out the EGR Valve on a 2005 Ram w/Hemi? Do I need any special tools? Should I be aware of anything? Not going to let the stealer charge me $200 just in labor.

Thanks,

Chris

no..one of the easiest things to change...unclip tube by tb, remove 2 screws from tube to egr, unplug harness from egr, unbolt 2 screws holdin egr to head..that's it..

I always had issues with mine in my 2004 ever since I installed headers. It went out almost immediately but it's an easy change as mentioned above. And only about $40 and 10 minutes worth of work. Then I always had an error code saying too low pressure reading. Seems my headers were sucking all the exhaust out and not letting enough through the little exhaust tube. It still ran good after I replaced it the first time but it was always a troublesome part. Just an FYI if you have aftermarked exhaust or headers.
