Guys, I have an ADDITIONAL few questions.
In reviewing your conversations, I took a PEEK at the LOW SPEED MYGIG “RER” NAVIGATION SYSTEM 4737 SERIES (6.5" screen which is IPOD capable), as well as the PIONEER AVIC-X710BT (5.8" screen w/Blue Tooth & a Rearview camera input; & muliple compatibles that can be additionally purchased); vs the MOPAR OEM 38646 Series (5.8" screen as originally offered in the 2005-2009 Dodges (models vary) with an AM/FM/6-DISC CD CHANGER & MP3 Player compatible) that I believe would have been available with my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500.

Okay the QUESTIONS are THESE:

#1 - I am reading that the MANUFACTURER's ORIGINAL UNITS tend to do a BETTER JOB on NAVIGATION than do the aftermarkets; Would you know if this is a TRUE or FALSE statement?

#2 - Although I believe I NOW understand what a REC LOCKPICK is (but that the FRONT unit will not work?!!? Okay perhaps I do NOT FULLY understand it...., lol, but it appears to provide a MULTITUDE of options (to include a Video/Audio Input for your iPod, iPhone, Laptop, External DVD Player or Video Game System, and even enables the unit to work in motion (whether it be NAVIGATION or REAR VIEW).

My youngest daughter is requesting something that will enable her to use her iPod. However, the MOPAR OEM unit doesn't appear to have that capability. Am I over-estimated the MOPAR OEM (& it's INCOMPATIBILITIES)?

Therefore I would really appreciate some EXPERIENCED first-hand AUDIO ASSISTANCE. Thanks!

Sandee
