The sub works because I had it installed on my home theatre system but I fried that. I am gonna hook up an RCA output CD changer I have for a home stereo system and see if it gets juice then. If it works then it's all in my crappy converter box. What do you guys think of the headunit I posted up. I would have to make a custom double DIN to fit it but I think for the price it looks good.

Ok, now I feel like a tard. I hooked up my friends converter from his Z71 and it worked fine. So I took my converter back a third time and got a different one, hooked it up to his truck and what a surprise nothing! So out of boredom I started messing with the adjustments on the converter and guess what? It freakin worked! So now she's all hooked up. I got it bridged to take the full 200 watts and I'm loving it. The only problem now is I want a bigger amp to power this thing.

I think what I am going to do is build another box and then buy a 1000w and split it to send 500w's to two pioneer 1000w 10's. But, that will be a ways down the line as I already have my money planned out for an ACOG scope I'm getting a heck of a deal on, and then my e-cutout, SC 3815, Gear swap, and Road Armors. So I got quite a list that is gonna cost quite a bit towards the end of the list, but after all that I will start worrying about my sound setup again.

One more question I want to ask before this thread is left to die. I have seen some connectors the are mounted on boxes wher you run your speaker wires from the amp too and then from the inside of the connector the wires run to the speaker or sub. Where do I find these and how much would they cost?

Ok, just remembered, they are called terminals. I dont know exactly why government class made me remember but such is life. You can buy them basically at any electronics store.

dont waste your money on RoadArmor bumpers. Those things are over a grand. Thats a lot of money for a bumper to go on a 2wd non lifted truck.

I can see where your coming from with that but the main reason I want them is for 1. they look awesome, and 2. there are freakin deer everywhere and I love to cruise around at night and those damn things just love to jump out in front of you.
