Default Max towing weight

I have a 2007 3500 dually 6.7 4X4 and was wondering what the max weight i can tow for a fifth-wheel. I was looking at a trailer that fully loaded would be around 18,000lbs. Is that too much for the truck to handle?

2007 and it doesn't have an owners manual? huh.

I'd check out the diesel section as well as using the search function as well.
This section is all gassers.

It should also say on your back bumper about tow and tongue weights, or at least mine does

chances are if its an 18,000 lb trailer, he's not pullin it with the hitch, making those numbers obsolete.

To the OP, your guess is as good as ours.... the diesel section will def know more. On that note though, lets see some pics of that rig once you get 'er all hitched up!

Manual trans 6.7L Quad cab = 13,700lbs
Auto trans 6.7L quadcab 3.73 gears = 13,800lbs
"" "" 4.10 gears = 16,800lbs

Need to know if std cab, quadcab or Megacab. 4.10 or 3.73 gears and GCWR rating in door.

16,800 is the highest rating for a 6.7L 4x4 of any kind.
