Default Power windows

Hi all, I am a first time user of the forum. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 and cannot get the passenger and two rear windows to go down or up. These are electric windows and I have tried the window lock on the driver’s panel and still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas before I start pulling things apart?

Fuse? Do they work from the local switch or the master switch at all?

Somethings gone bad in the switch module in the drivers door.
Does the drivers window still work?

Let me guess, everything works fine from the master switch, but the individual door switches won't work, or randomly work? I also have an '03, and have this same problem, but it isn't too bad yet. Unless you have bad wiring ( don't know, traced all mine and it was fine), the problem is the master switch panel, specifically the window lockout switch. On my truck, the switch will randomly engage, disabling the other window switches and causing the issue. You can find new ones online for $80-90 bucks, or try local junkyards. Personally, I say take the junkyard route, unless it really bothers you, then just hit up Ebay. Doing the repair is pretty easy, 4 screws and an 11mm bolt for the door lock handle, and the whole door panel slides right off. Pop out the two connectors, then pop them into the new switch, put it back together, and you are done.

The Master switches on the driver side arm rest works for all windows. The switches at the three other windows will not work. I checked the fuse and it is alright, I pulled off the master panel on the door arm rest and everything looked OK; no wires touching ground or worn. I kind of agree with Drangiz's comment that it might be the window lock switch. Is there any way of checking just that switch out? Thanks all, Charlie

Well found the problem, it is the window lock switch within the master panel located in the drivers side arm rest. I disconnected the switch and all the windows work. I will live with this until I can find a new master panel someday. If anyone has one for sale let me know. Thanks for your replys on my question. Charlie

How did you disconnect the switch. Did you cut a wire and if you did, what color of wire did you cut. Please let me know..I have my original switch and thought it was the switch and so i got another one on ebay and still the same problem. So i just want to get this fixed or disconnect the switch somehow

I cut the Orange/Light blue wire and connected it to the main power wire which is the Pink/Yellow.
