Default Please help! This noise is making me crazy!!!!!!

2005 ram 1500 quad 4.7 v8 29k miles

ok so this is alittle hard to explain but when im driving normal down the road my truck makes a chirping sound. Sometimes when goin over small bumps and sometimes when the road is slightly not smooth. It usually doesnt do it all the time constantly but it does it everytime while driving. This sound isnt loud and it sounds like something is rubbing something else to produce this chirping type sound. It sounds like its coming from the drivers side front and near the steering wheel area. Its mostly when on a non smooth road. But its weird b/c it doesnt always do it when driving over bumps and stuff. Anybody have any clue what it may be? This noise drives me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

get some silicone and spray em all and if that dont work look into getting new control arm bushings but use energysuspension.com bushings they are the best and will last forever.....

Are you positive it's in the suspension?? I had a slight chirp kinda sound that turned out to be the A/C line rubbing on the inside of the engine compartment. I took a piece of foam copper pipe insulation and wedged it in there. Stopped my chirp. ( tried to put a pic in here but couldn't.) Anyway, if the engine compartment is anything like the '02's there's an A/C line that is real close to the sidewall by the air filter box. It elbows down. It was rubbing there. Worth a shot.

Next time it's making the noise...try this. Pull over and pop the hood. Find the two little black rubber knobs that are on the cross beam that runs along and in front of the radiator. Those two bumpers that cushion the hood were sqeaking on mine and it drove me crazy.

Wipe/clean them off, spray them with some silicone or something and adjust them up or down about a 1/4 of a turn. See if that helps the noise. It solved mine, but occaisionally I have to adjust them when they start up again.

Hope that helps.
