Question Advice on removing chrome

Hey all

I have been wanting to make some pretty major changes to my truck regarding its looks and I need some help. I want to give my truck the whole night rider look by having everything blacked out and I have gotten as close as I can without having to do some major work.

I recently removed the "RAM" chrome emblem off the sides of the truck and installed black KC Daylighters onto my black Weston grill but now comes the part where I need to change up the front and rear bumpers along with the grill and bug deflector.

Iv been told that I can easily sand down the chrome off the plastic pieces and repaint them but I want to hear your advice first. Ill list my questions below

1. Know of any good paint that best matches brilliant black? (wet paint, spray paint?)
2. Will sanding down the plastic pieces turn out ok?
3. Is it possible to sand down the bumpers and repaint them?
4. What do you recommend?

Thanks all. Much appreciated.

1. The best match for the brilliant black that I have seen is just getting some paint from the dealer to match.
2. Sanding down the chrome pieces and painting them will turn out fine. I have sanded a lot of chrome pieces and painted them without any issues.
3. Sanding the bumpers and painting them has been done by a few guys on here. I am sure if you do a search you can find some info on it.
4. Biggest piece of advice I have would be to take your time and prep the pieces right. If you prep them right the painting part will be much easier and turn out a better result.

yeah what the Teach said...Lol.

But I would recommend getting the bumpers sandblasted and powder coated.

Are you painting them black or blue?

Whoa I seriously might have to consider one of these bad boys! Any idea how much one of these fabfours could cost? No mention of price.
