I recently got my truck the 48,000 mile tune up. After driving around for a thousand miles, there is this new problem with it. As I'm braking there is the squealing noise and a grinding/rubbing noise coming from my suspension. Now I had new brakes installed during the tune up. So what could the noise be. My tires aren't rubbing.. It only does it when I brake Is it possible that I need new shocks to correct the hight from the level? Also, I just got back from my tire place and they re torqued and balanced the tires cause my steering wheel was shaking. So that is still shaking as well.
One last thing while Im here, after the tune up I got the tires rotated, etc. and the guy came out from the shop to tell me that my lug nuts where not on tight. he was able to pull them off with his fingers. So that pissed me off, that the dealer didn't even put the lugs on right.

were the holes ovaled in your wheels since the lugs werent tight?
i dont see how shocks could cause squeeling... do you know if they turned your rotors when they did the brakes? could be a line of rust on the outer edge that the new pads are now grinding on... sounds like they really effed up your truck with the 48000 mile tune up
it should eventually grind off IF thats what is causing the grinding. reach in through your wheels and feel both sides of the rotors (when theyre cool) and see if there is a rough lip on there. if there is that could be the noise... i just cant believe they would change brake pads and not turn the rotors, you should go back and betch them out.
my old toyota would grind a little when braking AFTER i did my brakes because there was a pretty good rim of rust on the front rotors. i didnt turn the rotors when i did the brakes but the rust eventually wore off.
the rotors on my dodge had a some rust around the edge too, but i had those turned
Ok. So the dealer should of turned the rotors when the did the brakes? How long until the rust wears off? Plus the wheel shaking is kinda gone now after I got the torqued. Have you ever heard the sound of the suspension/shocks when they go bad. Maybe I need shocks. (this is a different sound from the brakes)

one more reason i like to do all my own maintenance. thats the one bad thing about having a warranty, you never know who will be doing the work, and what exactly they are doing.
Sounds like they just pad slapped it. Meaning they didn't turn the rotors, either the tech was lazy or felt since the rotors looked good they didnt need them, or maybe to specs. Not sure but really something that they should have done with any standard brake job. Even if there is only rust on there introducing 2 types of two new mating surfaces can cause a grinding sensation or annoying brake noise.
