I would not add water to the coolant that is already in the system. The biggest reason is it weakens the concentration of the mix. while water generaly will offer better cooling properties it doesn't offer the anti corrosion properties. I would follow the directions on the bottle of coolant and if it says to mix it with water then use distilled water.
