AEM called me today and asked if i wanted a Mopar instead of the AEM sisnce it was taking so long.
after looking at the AEM and the meager 8hp (thanks kdubya) you get for that ugly looking thing i told them i would take the mopar intake.
my new intake will be put on monday morning and with all the pms i get about my XDI and the limited availablitly... i think i should put it on ebay to see who really wants it
the only reason i am prolly going to keep the mopar instead of the XDI is because i dont want someone someday trying to give me a fit over my warranty... since i plan on keeping this truck past 125,000 miles... im going to need it
ill put pics up of the mopar intake after its on...

Does the Mopar CAI sit in front of the wheel well, beside the radiator and close to the bottom of it? The XDI seems to sit on top of the engine to which is not a CAI in my book,

I think the mopar CAI is exactly the same as the AEM except it says mopar on it and may have a different filter, at least in previous years the mopar and AEM were identical designs. The volant intake looks like the best one available.

thats what the tech told me.. that they are exactly the same.. just different filters

so what is the difference in the filters? does AEM have the dry filter and the Mopar have the Oiled filter?
In the past the mopar filters have been oiled cotton one's and they will likely stay w/ that. The dryflow is AEM's filter tech and I don't think they will be giving those to dodge for the mopar intakes.
