Unhappy Bumper Boo-boo

Hey out there, well, just returned from Afghan, low and behold my better half backed into something that dented my rear bumper. Appears to have bent the bumper brackets, bumper is pushed in more on the passengers side and out from the drivers. The dent seems to be simple to pound out with the dollies and what have you but the brackets may be bent/damaged. The questions I have are where are any good sites on line for the rear brackets and how difficult would it be to do the swap?

I have not got underneath as of yet but pretty sure the bracket(s) are bent.

Thanks
Birk

Personally, I wouldn't reuse the brackets, since they have bent, the metal is somewhat fatigued and wouldn't provide the same protection it once did.

Do you have a "pick it yourself" salvage yard around your house? This would probably be the least costly way to make the repair. You never know, you might also find a bumper too.

Good luck and thank you for your service!!!

Jim, thanks for the info, did end up getting brackets from Tasca Auto, less than 70.00. Not that bad of a job.

I put a cheap replacement bumper on mine after I backed into a car. It came with the mounting brackets. Whole thing cost $225

Oldjeep, my stock bumper is color coded with the truck, same as the front. Was able to bang out the majority of the dent still a little left but can live with it.
