Whether it is a legitimate rumor or not, I believe the V8 in general is going to fade away in the wake of more stringent fuel economy standards. You can only lighten these trucks so much, at some point you need to look at the engine... I loathe to buy a truck and it will only be available in a twin turbo. Yuck.

Trump just got rid of the higher MPG requirements set in place by Obama....

The 5.7L hemi is confirmed to stay till 2022. The 6.4 will stay for a long time.
That's fact. Everything else is speculation.
