Default Cool secret to fool your top speed limiter and traction control

So i was with my friend today driving for a long time and we were bored and stumbled upon how to fool the computer to let you go faster... the top speed is set at 105 and then it cuts out your engine and we found out that if you turn and hold your key to the start position like your trying to start your truck that the lcd screen and some electronics turn off and you can go as fast as the truck will physically go... also at low speeds it cuts out the traction control so you can do some sick nasty burnouts!

I tried this already in my 2009. I did not get it to work. The starter will not engage. In fact, when you try to start it, all electronics shut off since they think the truck is restarting. It will keep running though.

01 Silver, how did you get this to work?

The "key trick" works with the 3rd gens but I'm pretty sure it doesn't on the 4th gens. I've never tried it but I read it somewhere on a forum. I see no indication he has a 4th gen but he mentions a lcd screen and TC so he may be talking about a 4th gen. Tell us!!

09s have TipStart (at least the HEMI does).

Utter waste of time trying to do anything other than start the engine with it. it just provides a software input to tell the truck to start the motor.

It would be nice to be able to light up my rear tires so they would wear out sooner so I have a good reason to replace them. They don't give you much for takeoffs at tire stores anymore.

Well back to the OP what he said I do think actually works. If you hold the fob in the start position as you are getting ready to do a burn out AND while you do your burn out I think it does actually trick the computer some how but it picks up as soon as you let go of the key. I have the 3.55 open diff and when I tried this it smoked one with no interference or with out the ELECTRIC limited slip trying to act. If some one that plays with thier truck a lot that has the LSD would try this to make sure that this was not just a fluke and report back, your responce would be welcomed.
Disclaimer: I only tried this once and I am unsure if it actually works or if it was just a fluke.
