Default bed rails with bed cover

hey guys just baught my first dodge truck (2010 ram 1500 ST reg. cab 4x4 w/ 3.92's) and was looking into getting myself a set of bed rails and would really like a cover for long road trips... thats where its look like i ran into a problem.

my question is: is there any combination of the two that will work together? (bed rails and cover)

thanks guys.

The only thing I can think of would be a soft rolling cover that fits down in between the rails and the bed. They have a track system that they slide on and the roll is at the front of the bed obviously. I haven't looked for them on our rams, but I'm sure they are out there.

I'm assuming you are talking about those tubular things that serve no purpose?
YOu could probabally use bedrails with a Bakflip. The backflip frame only covers about 1/2" of the rail. Otherwise there are a couple covers that sit entirely inside the bed.

Otherwise if you are talking about something like a Trac-Rac or Vantech rack, there is just enough room to get one of those on and still open a backflip between the uprights. I've got the vantec version on mine.

They make good connectors for tie down straps when the bed is loaded with all the $hit your girlfriend lets ya' keep for your weekend move-out.

i like the idea of having something that dont look to bad and gives me the possibility of multiple tie down points. no need for a ladder rack at this point but if i find a cover that fits with the bed rails then they should deff. fit the trac-rac or other ladder racks. thanks guys

I'm thinking they should work with a Bakflip.

But....Do you have to cut the plastic rail cover over the front stake pocket?
