Sounds like a CV joint.
This problem has been beat to death in several threads.
Some people get the shakes with a level kit and others dont. The only way to solve the problem is to remove the level kit or, I have heard of people buying a set of custom CV joints from Core that are made for a more extreme angle. They aren't cheap though. A lot of guys on dodge talk took their kits off or went with a real suspension lift.
I notice you said you have a 3" body lift and also a level kit? What size level kit?
From what I've read most of the problems come from the 2.5" level kit.
You rig doesn't look like it has both unless those tires are 35".

They call it the death whobble..... your cv's are out oof alignment now with the level kit. if you search it you will find alot of us had the same problem, once you take the level kit out it will go away. It sucks trust me, my dealer was scratching thier heads about it too, it will void your warrentee too unless it is the dodge kit and they put it in. But it will still do it with the factory kit.
sorry to give you the news, but take the kit out and you will be fine.

Not really... "death wobble" occurs when a lift changes the geometry of the steering components, and earned it's name because it can occur unexpectedly (usually when you hit a bump at speed). The vehicle begins to shake and wobble and it gets worse and worse until you almost stop... nothing to do with CV joints.

CV's are lust like universal joints - if you increase the angle on them you hasten the wear. The leveling kits (obviously) drop the hub farther from the vehicle, thereby increasing the angle and the stress on the joint.

I had the same problem on my '07 Ram with a 2.5" kit; you only feel it in 4WD because at other times you're not putting power to the front axles and joints. In my case, the dealer replaced the joints under warranty and removed the leveling kit for me at the same time.

Good luck!

The whole kit from core costs as much as a lift kit.
1,895 for a 3.5" that comes with everything.

Not sure what the price is just for the joints. I think it was around $400.

I called a few months back and they wanted 750.00 plus shipping for just the joints.

Picked it from the dealer and they said it was my front axles. They could not tell me if they were infact bad, or if the CV joints were bad. All he could tell me is that once they got the truck off all fours they could see the angle of the axles. 850.00 to replace both axles. They would not take out the leveling kit, since they don't do this kind of work. They said to drive it for a nother 50,000 if I was not that concerned. I told him I need my four wheel drive.

I like the kit as mentioned above, for 1800.00, but what would it cost to have put on? another grand?

I am so puzzled now. Will this hold up for a while, even on a long trip?

It will be fine until you put it in four wheel drive and it breaks...... Stay in 2 wheel and it will last forever. I personally took mine out and I am getting the 4" kit that comes with all the proper drop brackets. I live in the snow belt so I HAVE to have 4 wheel drive.

Zeek, what lift are you going with? I was looking at the one posted above from kore, Is this an actual lift? I like the billit. Also the rear shocks, do those lift the rear? And if I do go with this paticular one, I guess I take out the leveling kit.

I wish they would warn you about these problems.
