Default 2013 headlights

When someone finds out let us know how the headlights are. And will they fit in a 2009? I heard they were way better.

Yes. 2013 lights will fit but wiring is not a direct swap.

It has been done and you just have to rewire the new plug. ive seen it done and he is already selling them to try something else. This was on a 2009 Ram.

579 is not worth it. For both it would be ballpark. If you have quads I guess you could get a couple hundred for someone without quads that wants a cheaper upgrade.

I noticed Sports and I am guessing Laramies get them. The Express, SLT, ect are getting the quads and it appers the plain old lights from 09-12 are no more.

The wiring cannot be that hard to figure out...

Try Retro Solutions. They make HID projector rigs for Rams for a whole lot less than 1 2013 light.

Yeah, but any aftermarket HIDs seem to be plagued with problems like flicker, not turning on consistently, and color changing. I'd be willing to pay reasonable money (maybe up to $500 for a pair) for OEM HIDs made specifically to work with the truck. Would gladly have paid that when I was ordering mine new.

I saw those and thought about them, but they are used and appear one of them may be broke (back side)

Just got my 13 Laramie last week, and yes they are Projection Halogens. To me they mostly just look awesome shining from the front of the truck. As far as better than my 09 was, well they are a little better on Dim, but on bright I can't really tell any difference. They do look really cool though!

I ran an HID kit from HID extra on both the highs and the lows. I never had it flicker once, and I am not using any capacitors either. However I did buy digital ballasts. I have been told it makes a difference, and I have had no issues so...

I just ordered a set of retrofits from jeremy over at retrosolutions, should be coming next week. They are FULL HID projectors for the low, as well as a HID kit for the high beam. I paid 800 (with 90 for shipping) This also included a 220 dollar charge for the headlights themselves. You can send a set in if you find it cheaper then paying the 220.

There are many people on here who are very happy with what JJ puts out, so I am giving it a go.

I think for the extra money I am paying for mine, its still gonna be a heck of a lot better then OEM style...
