installing Taller gear on the diff

I am seeing estimates from $800 to $1200 per axle. Since you are 2WD that might be doable for you. Your gears are 3.55s and the jump to the 3.92s might not be enough to make much difference so I would go 4.10s unless you plan to tow much then you might want to go 4.56s. A lot will depend on how much taller you go with your tires. You may get widely different opinions so review them and consider tire height, towing weight/frequency and how much time you spend above 65-70 MPH before you decide. Let us know how it turns out, Good Luck.

I took my 2WD from 3.55 to 4.10 and added a LSD. The 3.55 don't have a LSD from the factory. Anyway, cost was about $1000 roughly each time. Yep, I said each time. I've had them done 3 times. The first two times were by idiots, finally found someone who knew what they were doing on the third try.

I recently pulled the trigger on a complete 4.10 ratio rear axle assembly - new from factory thru Parts.com for $1432 total shipped to my door. By the time I decided to change ratio's, Nogalitas quit doing the installs and now only sell parts.
I'm thinking less hassle - get it right the first time - all I have to do is R&R existing brakes during change out
