Coolant recovery tank location

Ah, good point. And there it is, tucked up next to the radiator under the plastic shroud. But the manual says you can look at the side of it to see the level. My tank is totally black with no sight glass opening or level indicator in it anywhere that I can see. How are people checking the fluid level??

Open the top up. Inside is a yellow dipstick. Pull out the dipstick and you should see wet coolant up to the full mark.
I changed the thermostat and then replaced the coolant twice on my 2010. The old Tstat was toast and coolant was weak. Also changed the drive belt for good measures.

What was involved with changing the coolant? Just draining from a radiator drain and refilling, or does it take a bleeding process too?

You have to drain more than just the radiator, you need to drain the block and heater core as well. Much easier to justwait for a dealer coupon and take it in for a coolant replacement - you don't really save much doing it yourself.
