early brake pad failure

Default early brake pad failure

wifes 2014 with less then 20k miles showing front pads need to be replaced this seems a little odd to me . no hard driving has anyone experienced this? thanks

its a little early but not crazy early especially if you do mostly city driving.


how did the pads look and what did they measure. any scoring, rusted rotors, blue or hot spots on the rotors. are the calipers sliding properly. how much wear on the rear pads.

OEM pads dont last long, IMO. Driving style has a lot to do with it. Replace with a decent set of aftermarket pads.

noticed brake fluid down but not to minimum. visual inspection and could not see brake material on front pads. mostly rural driving . really never had pads need replacing this early. just checked another vehicle with 80k and they're needing replacing but that seems normal wear.
