Going between San Antonio and Houston I get about 16-17 going about 75-85 the whole way. Day to Day traffic going to work the MDS kicks in most the of the time anywhere from 30-50 mph which help sout a lot. I'm waiting on my Air Raid Intake and Mufflex 18" to arrive and I'll repost new figures.

Mods: Just running Valvoline Full Synthetic 5w20
switching over the valvoline full synthetic 5w20 made a big difference. My fuel mileage wasn't great until the truck hit 17,000 kms, then it made a big difference.
My valvoline reps are telling me I should switch over to the 5w40 premium blue extreme oil and I'll get even better fuel mileage.
of course, if I put the pedal to the rug, the truck roars my fuel mileage is shot, but driving mostly highway the fuel mileage isn't too bad, and I'm realy enjoying the truck so far!
In the spring, adding a set of 24's to it, with 285/40/24 tires, an AIRRAID CAI, a flowmaster super 44 muffler (truck has stock dual exhaust) and a soft tonneau cover to it, so will be interested to see what happens then to my fuel mileage.
one other thing to mention, my manual tells me I can get 10,000 kms (or approx 6,000 miles) between oil changes, however after 7000 kms (4200 miles) my fuel mileage really goes downhill until I change the oil over. Not sure whether its the filter starting to plug up, or oil starting to break down, but once the oil is changed, my fuel mileage pops back.

It is 4th Gens only. There is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gen section too.

So I installed my Airaid CAI and 18" Mufflex muffler and switched over to 89 octane. My first tank of 89 octane average at 15.1 MPG. Is the computer still getting used to the change in octane? I only notice better mileage when I'm on the highway, I swear my city MPG has dropped. I'll check a couple more tanks before I decide to switch back to 87 and see where that takes me.
