I just finished my installation. Total time was about 35 minutes, and most of that was checking and rechecking before tightening everything down. The intake does open up a great sound from the Hemi. At regular cruising RPM, everything sounds stock. Open the throttle and the growl comes out. Milage definitely looks to be improved. I got 16.6 from my last tank for 89 octane doing about 60/40 highway/city. I just filled up, so I'll report back after this tank.

Glad it went well.
You will see 2 mpg at least. You will notice the exhaust it a bit louder too. Engine is flowing easier.

You asked me earlier if I noticed a power gain and I really hadn't. Took the XDI off today...as I say in my edited earlier post...put the stock back on. Warranty repair.

My gas milage dropped of course, but this time with the stock intake on, I immediatly noticed a loss in power. Slower response.
It jumps with the XDI, feels bogged with the stock now.

So does the XDI void warranty?

The XDI does NOT void warranty.

My issue is excessive wind noise above 60 mph. Unbearbable above 70.

Put the stock intake back on to silence the intake so they could better listen for the cause of the wind noise in my truck.

If anything goes wrong with your engine that needs warranty repair it would be wise to re-install the stock air box to eleminate any argument they might make.
They would lose any argument but reinsatalling stock just takes it out of the discussion.
Best with any aftermarket items installed under warranty...easily removed anyhow.

Just an example, the XDI will not hurt your engine in any way.

300$ for an intake? the truck already has 390 hp, so that would not be the reason i bought one. i am going to see where my k&n filter gets me with mileage. i only have 160 miles on the truck.

i have a buddy with a 08 and he said he threw codes with a k&n intake. that worries me with the lifetime warranty.

It was posted here, I have very limited picture space these days.
Somewhere between 1998 and 2006 this site lost me. I traveled the globe for awhile.
Anyhow, heres a pic of the XDI...and that was my limit.
