Some of you know I bought another truck. Long story.

The numbers I posted with the XDI on a crew cab 4 x 4 with 3:55 gears are correct.

I now have the XDI on a quad cab 2 x 4 with 3:92 gears. I am not seeing above 16 mpg. Usually 15. something. Also have a mufflex 24" and a bed cover.

I have not been on a road trip yet. MDS has not had a chance. I am leaving Saturday on a 350 mile trip. Post again after that.

More like 700 mile road trip. 78-91 degrees outside air. AC set to 70 my side 72 her side. On the whole trip.
I 65 and I 20, anybody who has ever driven those in Alabama and Georgia knows it miles and miles of rolling hills. Down for a 1/2 mile, up for a mile. Steep through the Apalachian foot hills.

78 mph cruise 16.5 avg.
68 mph cruise 16.5 avg.
63 mph cruise 16.5 avg...all computer...100 mile reset.

It went as high as 18.3 but always settled back to 16.5 no matter what speed. I don't drive 55.

Math pump to pump once at 78 mph 16.73
Home to destinations and back 17.20 overall calculated avg. Thats 35 mph to 78 mph rural and freeway, stop and go.

Thats a quad cab 5.7L with XDI intake, 3:92 gears, fabric "Vanish" bed cover. 20" rims 275/60/R20 Goodyear's

This truck does not even have a thousand miles on it yet. Who knows maybe the computer on vehicles in Canada are calculating mpg using the Imperial gallon as we used to before, which means instead it is basing a gallon on 4.5 L as a opposed to I think the US gallon is 3.9 L. Not even broken in yet, my wife drives it more and she is a calm driver, when I drive well if I drove more I can guarantee those numbers would lower substantially. I want to hear what the exhaust is gonna sound like broken in before I waste money on a mufflex or Magnaflow. Sounds good now, really good when you goose it.
Well you know how sometimes you get a lemon and sometimes you get something special, maybe I have somethiing special and well the ponies are still there.

Thumbs up

I just put on my XDI Intake and it was easy to do and the exhaust now is louder and sounds good, there is no restriction so the air must flow better. It is raining but I couldn't wait to put it on so I pulled it half in the garage and put it on. I took it around the block and the acceleration is quicker now and when you step on it it goes and you hear wooosh and your gone. I can't wait to go to work to play with it more.
