Default Ionic Billet Running Boards?

Has anyone used these running boards before?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

I've heard good things about the seller, Running Board Warehouse from a co-worker who installed something similar on his Toyota

They aren't the prettiest ones on the market, but definitely look functional.

I'm a little concerned though - they have a link to instructions for install on a RAM but it only goes up to an '01. And then - yes, call me a wuss - you have to DRILL.

Sorry - I am not drilling holes in my new truck LOL!

What makes the concern worse is that the seller says there is no drilling involved on the 2009.

So - what say you - worth what they are selling them for?

It's just pretty hard to find running boards/nerf bars for the 09 crew cab since it's a new size. I have some nerf bars on order from http://www.buyautotruckaccessories.com/ but the darned things have been backordered from the manufacturer (SteelCraft) for over a month now! I'm over the wait!

Feedback please!

Thanks!

When I bought my club cab truck the dealer asked if I wanted the running board removed.
That dealer had already installed them on the truck. I told him to leave them for two reasons.
1. Probably need them
2. Do not want the holes for them left in my frame..he tells me the holes are already there from the factory.
Here are the dimensions anyhow.
Centerline to centerline it is 34" between the inside bolts. Then the outside two are 2.5" out form the inside bolt.....39" cl to cl the outside 2... 6 bolts total..you can measure yours. 3 mounting brakets. I described between two....3rd is the same. Your truck will have the pre drilled and threaded holes according to the dealer I bought from.

I would wait and get the Running Boards meant for it. Look really nice on mine..my opinion of course... and I do indeed use them.
The stock running board is 85 3/4" long....cut diaganal front...85.75 to 85 long??. Point is, the OEM running board starts just behind the front quarter panel and runs to the bed...looks right.
The rubber steps are in the right place for both doors.

I would call some other dealers or call that running board warehouse and see if they have your bolt hole pattern and length. Looks like their "IONIC" is close to stock?
I suspect a big dodge dealer will have them in stock. Mine did....1/3/09. Big "O" Dodge, Greenville, SC. They call themselves a Dodge Truck Stop...and they had quite an inventory.
Call dodge parts yourself....or Chrysler parts.

From e-bay these are OEM.

The ones from http://www.buyautotruckaccessories.com/ ? I ordered the 3 inch ones.

I called and spoke with them yesterday afternoon, ready to cancel the order. I had ordered 2 sets - one stainless (for wife's truck - gray and white) and one black (for mine - gray and yellow). The stainless ones will be shipping today or tomorrow, but the excuse that Steelcraft gave them was that there was an issue with the powder-coating and they will be delayed another week or so..

So - long story short - I let the order stand and I will wait :-(

I had to call Big "O" Dodge about another issue.
When done I asked for parts.

Big "O" has the OEM running board if you want them. 525.00
1-864-288-5000

If you do this tell the parts guy you got this info from me.
525.00 is my price as a buyer and he siad he would pass that on to a friend of mine.....
675.00 is retail.

I would go that route if I could afford it - after putting down payment for 2 brand new trucks, the funds a little... "depleted" shall we say? :-)

I have the ionic boards in black on my 09 crew. They look great and they are fully adjustable front to back and how far out from the truck they are. I have them all the way out, they stick out just far enough to stop door dings in the parking lot. They mount in the existing holes, 15 minutes to mount on each side. You cant beat 220 dollars vs the oem 500ish. Why would you pay 5-600 dollars for two pieces of chrome aluminum tube and six brackets? The ionic boards look great and are a third of the cost plus free shipping, but thats my opinion. I will post pics later, it's snowing here right now.
