the cam moves the valves so they should be the same. If you have a variable cam then the valves are variable also. They are connected. Even the dodge site has them labeled as variable cam timing (VVT). I would like to see something telling me different other than opinions or word of mouth.

It's a bunch of horsecrap about nothing. They are the same damn thing but people aren't stopping and thinking about it logically. It'll blow over in a few weeks or so when people realize that it's just a label change.

As mentioned already, there are no actual power or spec differences in the motor. They would have to recertify the motor for Emissions and Fuel Economy if they made a change to that degree.
