Default Drivers Seat Creaking

I saw that someone posted a Rapid Response number for creaking seats. I called my dealer and got more information on it and it only applies to manual seats at this point. He read into it more and there is a cros brace that needs to be lubricated. He then checked his books to see if it might apply to electric seats as well but they don't have the same cross brace.

Has anyone with electric seats had a creak when going over bumps or any time the amount of pressure in the seat bottom increases\decreases? Has anyone fixed the problem themselves?

Its been going on for the past week or so and its driving me nuts. The dealer said it would be covered under warranty if I bring it in but I won't have time for at least another week.

I FIXED IT!

The issue is with the fan for the cooled seat function. If you look at the metal mounting bracket that holds the fan it rubs on the right side (closer to the passenger) seat motor. Unfortunately its a design flaw and there is no way to adjust the fan\bracket further away from the motor, BUT! You can use a zip tie and pull it out of the way. Its a little tight so you may want to get some help from the wife\girlfriend. Hopefully the pictures are ok.

Being your seats are cloth I don't believe they are cooled so this won't apply anyway. If yours are manual seats then it might be covered under the Rapid Response in which case it has to do with a cross brace which needs to be lubed.

The sound mine made was just like an old metal lawn chair with coil springs and it was amazing how you could feel it. I was ready to pull the seat out and start tightening all the bolts in the frame and lubricating the joints.

I'm loving the nice quiet interior now.
