Where are you guys able to find the date your vehicle was manufactured?

It's on the label inside the drivers door that has the tire pressure on it. On the bottom line it will say MDH followed by 6 numbers. That stands for month, day, and hour. For example, mine says MDH:022114 That is February (02), 21, 2pm (1400 hours)

I don't have the light and I am glad! I think it would get kind of annoying myself!

Just MHO

The spot where the fuel saver light comes one is the spot on my truck that tells me my cruise is on so I cannot see anyway to reprogram that ..

Here's a reply I got back from the regarding the Fuel Saver Light.

Dear JINXR:

We appreciate the time and effort you took to write to us. We have

functions to ensure your vehicle is operating at maximum efficiency.

Furthermore, the dealer would be able to inform you if you can add the
Fuel Saver light to your vehicle and would also be able to assist you
with other options.

You can find a dealership locator in the "Find a Dealer" area on the

Just noticed the light on my Ram today after I filled up. Never noticed it until today as I was looking at the average mpg display. The light goes off when coasting down a hill and seems to come on when you barely have your foot on the gas on a flat or slight downward road. Was going 30 - 40 mph at the time. Unless you're looking, can't really tell it's there in the cluster of LCD characters.

I have VCT, with locking tailgate with a build date of 120512, Dec 12 @ noon.

Just out of curiosity how can you tell if you have a VCT or VTT engine?

I think they are the same, just worded differently.

Thought I'd add this link to the thread where the MDS indicator was added to a truck previously without one.
