Good kill man, ive been looking for an 09 rcsb hemi to run. I kinda had the same result against the 09 4 door rams. I get them by at least 2- 3 lengths by 60-65ish. Took forever to line up with one, there are so few newer rams out here in so cal.

Sounds about right though, your probably a low 14 second truck and the double cab tundra is a mid to high 14 second truck.

no shame in losing to vettes or mercedes. It sucks getting your doors blown off by a lightning from a 30 mph roll. Im sure he wasnt stock, but still stings a little.

I agree the truck pulls hard at speed but it still isn't 390hp, probably 50+ hp shy of it. Of course thats expected, the truck has a lifetime powertrain warranty so it will certainly be "detuned" significantly. I'm not getting a programmer for the fear of getting my warranty voided, I can live with the power it has.

Thank you Sir, it has been a work in progress and a labor of love.

It was more difficult for Hemifever than I because he wrote my fuel maps. With the wideband O2 and boost gauge, I would give him readouts at every RPM range all the way to WOT. The only fuel maps I had to work were for the alcohol injection program. Running a cylinder lean is always a concern, the R1 Racing Meth I run helps with that also. It drops my A/F to a really rich 10.9-11.2 or so.

That has been a great debate, power off the line or up high. I went with 4.10 gears knowing with the blower the 3.55s would be better up high. I think for trucks 3.9-4.1s are the ideal range for power off the line and towing and such.

If they are not 390HP then tell us the real number and your source of that information.

They are 390 hp at the crank, not the wheels. The drive train soaks up a lot of power.

Otherwise, we can all sue Dodge for false advertising.

LOL that sounds right too, I had 2 truck lengths by 60 or so. I will admit he had the weight disadvantage..... but then thats why I bought a RC. I haven't seen a RC Tundra anywhere. If I do I will run it, win or lose for sure it will be a fun match - I don't think I can lose much worse than I did with the Vette

The advertised hp is different than the actual hp to the wheels, it varies between vehicles and unfortunately its usually extreme with dodge. They get there hp numbers staright from the flywheel. You put this thing on a dyno and it will pull around the advertised hp of the 3rd gen hemis.
My last truck was an 08 cummins with 350hp...lol it pulled under 300 on the dyno. I've seen the same with this truck

Thats ok Blown287 is going to hook me up with a blower and help me get the fuel mapping right. I dont think i want 14lbs of boost though, i dont have that much faith in the bottom end of these engines. Are our hemi's 2 or 4 bolt mains? Didnt they up the compression in 2009? Hell considering the state of the auto industry its probably got a plastic crank.

I once saw a dyno sheet on an 07 qc hemi 4x4 which were supposedly 360ish showing 245 at the wheels. I know you guys are going to laugh at that but that's what I saw. Also I think dodge/chrysler whatever you want to call them have allways had problems getting the power to the road. my.02
