Why?????

Yours is a 2001 with what looks like a aftermarket remote start. Has nothing to do with this thread. We are talking about 2009 factory remote start option code XBMP.

Exactly. Your problem is a loose wire / broken connection between your AFTERMARKET remote start and your truck wiring. This thread deals with factory remote start issues.

You're in the wrong section buddy. Your thread has nothing to do with this thread.

I have had the trouble in the past. Like someone else mentioned I changed mine to unlock all doors on one press and have not had a problem. That was one of my problems is it would never want to unlock all the doors even though I would hit it twice. I also have remote start.

Mine did it today also, but I was using the u connect bluetooth at the time, then once I hung up it seemed to work fine. I figured the system would not let me lock the doors unless everything was shut down including the phone which was still paired to the radio. Sal

I have had mine set up to unlock all the doors from the beginning. It still leaves me standing next to the truck pushing on the fob buttons like an idiot at least once a day. I have never had this problem with a key fob in any vehicle before. Aggravating to say the least.

OK, not linked to remote start.

Guess I will do the lock/unlock trick until Dodge finds something.

Same type of thing and no one was looking at mine for a aftermarket. So I was just seeing if people would post if I put it with a similar thread, soorrryyyy.

I've had mine set to unlock all as well and still have the problem. I tried the lock unlock and even tried the remote start. It unlocked after I held down the unlock button for 3-4 seconds. I'm guessing it has to do with some sort of rolling code or something. I dunno but, I hate having your hands full or beer and lookin like an idiot trying to get into the truck. On the upside the brews were cold so If I had to sit on the tailgate while waiting for a tow it would be no problem.
