so with equalizer bars I should be well within right? I don't think a 4500lb 22 ft. travel trailer with 200lbs or less of cargo in bed would be to much front loading, there isn't much u can do to the trailer, it is what it is,my 95 and my 04 pulled same setup all over Texas, they were both raked a$$ end high and settled to level with load, this one squats about the same as others it just had no rake to start with so now it looks like it is loaded heavy
Yes, with equalizer bars you should be within specs. I tend to only run about 150-200 lbs of tounge weight regardless of trailer weight. Used to tow a 6000lb car trailer/Jeep combo loaded like that with no issues.
I havn't noticed any squat with my crewcab so far, but will be taking a trip next week with 5 people in the truck, bed full of gear and the 3000lb boat in tow. It'll be interesting to see how it rides then.
If it's an issue, my first step wouldn't be airbags. IF slightly longer progressive springs were available, I'd try that. Second choice for me would be coil pucks (basically a spacer that sits under the coil) - they have the effect of both lifting the suspension up a bit and raising the effective rate of the springs.
