Default ProCharger

Hi all, checking for performance parts for my truck I came up with this page, http://www.allusasupercenter.com/HO_...1sc-57-ram.htm , would this charger work with our engines?

Far as I know there is no one that can modify the ECM yet.
Not even the dealers shop can alter the ECM for performance.
They can fix problems, but that is it.

Go forced you need to modify.....lots of things. I am sure you know that.

Big thing you have to get past is this new TB, VVT and MDS.
MDS, pretty sure mine has never gone into that. I do not have the indicator but I can hear and feel my engine. Old gear head here.

Fellow near me bought a new truck. Really wanted a Dodge Ram after looking at mine. Found he could not tune it. Bought a Chevy truck with a 5.3 V-8. Used EFI-live on it and its feels faster and more powerful than mine...not near as nice though. Will smoke its tires!

My GTO. Worlds of tuning software for that engine.
Add whatever I want...and have. Some of us like to tinker.
Software for most ever other Mopar car or Jeep too and/or a shop can dyno and tune them on a dyno.

Just this 2009 truck is left out. I have heard 2 or 3 months for 9 months now from some of the sofware mfg's. Predator, Hitec etc.
And those are just very basic tuners.

Not enough for a well tuned procharger install...No lamda, etc.

I am with you. Truck needs something, mines sick in not a good way.
First thing it need is that hemi set free.

Sure, if you've been flooring the gas pedal since the day you bought it.

Really, give me a break.

I was speaking of my observations during interstate road trips on cruise.
Speed limits on the interstates where I drive are mostly 70 mph.
Cruise at 75.

Why would you need to get rid of the mds with fi? If the truck is at a low cruising rpm its not going to make any boost to effect it.

I do not know that the MDS would have to be deactivated.

My 2 cents on this topic, I am done.
