Default A/C Insulation Falling Down

The taped on insulation over the bottom of the interior blower housing keeps falling off. I don't know how, it is big time sticky with a tar like glue. I put it on twice and then the dealer once, but it falls back off after a week or two. I think it might be there to help prevent interior condensation, but I can't get it to stay in place. Does anyone else have this problem and what are your suggestions?

As sticky as that black goop is, I don't know how it could keep falling off. Mine was not replaced, it was simply pressed back into place on the service drive. Of course it came back off, I had already put it back in place 2X before. I wonder if I leave it off if the cover is going to sweat and drip into the truck. I haven't seen any water yet.

It happens on days above 98 when i forget to crack a window. Quite annoying, but I just put it back on. I think I like the super glue idea.

Hi All:
MY insulation is sitting in a big, black lump on the work bench. It has come down a half dozen times since May 13,2009 when I bought it. The average temp here in the middle of nowhere Nevada, is 104. I left it off last ime it came down and it seems there is no diffrence. I will have to ask the service person tomorrow what is up with it when I bring it in for service.

I am tired of messing with this crap and all the goo that it puts on my floor. Please let us know if your dealer has any good ideas on how to fix it.

X1000000000000000000. Mine came off starting in the late winter though. Junk gets all over the place.

HI All:
Just got back from the dealer and was informed that they are falling off most all the trucks on the lot. They called the factory and were informed that the piece was put there for the cold weather areas around the country. Factory said to leave it off as it would not hurt anything.
