I trailered my car for a round trip of 1500 miles through Berkshires and the trans temp stayed below 200 whenever I looked at it. (which was often) I was actually suprised it never went very high going up some of those hills. Total weight was a little over 5000 lbs.

I pulled the 6,000 boat and trailer to Lake Cumberland from Columbia, KY on Hwy. 80 with the ambient temps near 90 degrees and never saw anything over 147 degrees. The water temp was 203 degrees and the oil was 226 I believe. I will verify again this weekend although it is supposed to be a lot cooler.

That seems awfully cool to me. I had it in Tow / Haul mode and the trip is only slightly hilly but it is never totally flat for very long. It is only about 30 miles total but that was after driving about 55 miles to pick up the boat.

My average fuel economy only got down to around 12.5 MPG and that included a whole lot of idling ane pulling the boat up and down a quite steep ramp a few times. Out on the road it typically averages around 14 MPG with the boat and a good load. I have 3.55 gears and a loaded Sport CC.

I hope this helps.

Craig
