I look down at the dash and I have three warning lighs lit up.. the lil round ABS light.. the ESP ABS light above it.. and on the right side.. the squirly truck ESP light is on... what the hell.. 2400 miles and I am gettin lights already? anyone else suffer the premature lights thing? same ones? what was the diagnosis when you took it into the dealer?

The speed sensors which I think are at every wheel feed data back to the computer, and are an integral part of both the ABS and ESP systems. It's likely you either have a bad sensor, or a bad connection for a sensor. Take it to the dealer.

I had this happen to me, and my Dodge dealer had to replace the ABS brake module. Be advise when you take it in, if it is the ABS brake module Dodge will ask you to leave your truck with the dealer. As they are worried about the brakes not working correctly. Fortunely I was allowed to use a company truck.

Ironsides is right on. I would say its a faulty speed sensor too. Kind of a common problem, it happened on a jeep I had a few years ago. I didn't have warranty on that veh and the sensor only cost about 100 bucks. BUT yours will most likely be covered by warranty.

Those are the 3 lights that are on in my truck since I disconnected the front wheel speed sensors. Enjoy not having traction control!

I've had an intermittant issue with those lights for a while. A wire to one of the rear speed sensors was damaged. The dealer patched in a new piece of wire and the problem went away for a while then came back.

Tuesday they replaced the wire from the frame rail to the wheel sensor with a piece of a new harness. 2 days later the intermittant problem was back. When it is intermittant, the abs kicks in at odd intervals and you get the ding ding noise. I'm leaving on a 3K trip tommorrow so I disconnected one of the wheel sensors, which disables the whole system.

Once I get back, I'll have to get it looked at again. The dealer has been trying to figure it out, but intermittant problems are a pain to debug.
