Default LED tailgate light strip

My truck came with a LED tailgate light strip and there are 4 LED's out already. Is there anyway to replace these? It looks like it is a PITA to get in there and replace them.

You have an '09 Ram with an LED strip and the LED's are burned out? Hmmm.... the dealer must have installed a used one then. LED's last a long time and don't burn out in such a short time. I have the Recon Xtreme tailgate light bar and I expect to get many years of service from my LED's

Yeah, it's the third brake light. Here's a small image.

It might not be stock but when I bought the truck it was on there so I just figured it was stock. IDK why it would be on there if it wasn't. I had the mopar sidesteps and chrome gas cap on there too when I bought it. I didn't pay for either to be put on.

I was always under the impression that LED's last forever. I am kind of p/o'ed 4 are out already. I really like the look. I have a little pet peeve about lights being out. It appears to be a PITA to get in there and fix them too.

That's definately not an OEM Dodge part. I'd take it back and try to get it fixed under warranty since it was on there when you bought it new.

LEDs aren't designed to be easily replacable so the whole unit will need to be replaced.

I get mine put on tomorrow, I am pretty excited, I think they look really good. I am sure they look even better at night.

I had my "chops busted" by a bunch of "car guys" at the racetrack where I work at for my "ghetto" led strip. I honestly don't care. I like the way they look and I think the extra light and the scanning turn signals help safety wise.
