3rd Gen Hemis are known for a tick, but have not heard of this in a 4th gen yet.

What oil viscosity are you running?

the only time i hear a tick in mine is when the fan kicks on, just the inital turning on tick, not constant.

in this truck, i still have the stock oil in it.

in my other 09, full syn oil with no ticking

They tick with full syn oil. I took my full syn oil out the same day i put it in do to the tick. Dealer also said it was not a good idea to run full syn oil in my 09s.

I have noticed this also it kinda does sound like an exhaust thing with mine but its hard to say the tick is sometimes loud and other times not even there

Why would it be a bad idea to run full syn

Its not. I also run synthetic. I hear a faint tic at times. Its suppose to be a Hemi thing.Read somewhere that the PCV system is a area for ticking.Any one else read this somewhere?

mine has more of a chirp after it warms up. when i get underneath the vehicle it sounds to me like it's an exhaust thing, however im not sure. i've had it looked at and they say it's normal. i'm not sure of that either.
