Default cigarette lighter won't work (checked fuses)

Hey,
I have a 2002 neon and the power oulet/cigarette won't work. On my wifes' 96' neon the fuse cover says which fuse is for the outlet. My car does not show which fuse, so I checked them all. None of them were blown. I know that you have to have the key on the forward position, so that's not the problem. Please help.

make sure you also check the fuse box under the hood... You could have had a blown fuse in there and that is the same circut.

thanks for the info. I didn't think about checking the fuses under the hood. All of the cars I have had before, the cigarette lighter was in the dash.

Should be fuse 14 (20A) in power distribution center

Then it goes to the ignition switch

Then to the soceket.

Then from socket to ground.

If you pull the connector off the back see if you are getting 12V to the socket if so Check the resistance of you ground leg to known ground.
