Well mine has never been in an accident either and just went out 5 months ago. I first thought it was the motor, because it acted like something was in the doors way. I called the local parts counter ( I work in Autobody) and asked him about the problem, he told me they don't stock the motors but have alot of the wire harness's in stock. So that tells you something right there. Also my door worked fine manually also. The service tech said a wire in the harness gets worn out and causes the problem. All I know they replaced it and it is fine.
