read the post above titled..... ( dumb question ) which it's actually not because you would think it was supplied at the factory.

Boy, anything to get another buck out of us!

I know that you have to buy the cord, but it is where to plug it in that i can't find. The manual was NO help. Is it at all possible that my truck doesn't have a place to plug it in?

From what I've read.... all Cummins come with the block heater but, not necessarily the cord.

Look at the block right under the exhaust manifold just in front of the turbo. There a little boot covering the connector

Right behind the oil filter there is a black, plastic, screw on cap. That is the port.

The easiest way to get it on there is to remove the intake tube (2 screws) and then you have easy access to it. Otherwise you'll spend more time fiddling with it than you would have just removing the tube.

I had the same problem a while back. But like they said pull off the air tube to the turbo and look on the block you will see a black screw on cap. Its not that had to install and route to the front bumper so you can plug it in.

Removing the intake tube doesn't really seem worth the trouble to me. I did mine about an hour ago from the bottom and was done in 3 mintes flat. Easiest thing I think I've ever installed
