RE: Oil Bypass Install
Screw on the oil bypass filter and make sure to lube the seal so it does not leak.
Verify all connections are tight and ready to go.
Do not install the cap assembly at this time, put a container under it to catch the oil as itcomes out of the bypass filter for the 1st time. The reason is to flush the lines prior to connecting it to the motor.
Fire up the motor and watch for the oil to come out of the return line. once it does shut it down and install the cap.
Fire it back up and look for any leaks, repair as needed. Your all done!
here's a pic of the oil as it came out of the bypass filter for the 1st time... coal black. this oil has less than 200 miles on it, it turned black almost right after the oil change. I will keep you guys posted on the oil cleansing process...
