Default WATER LEAK IN CAB!!

It was an ice storm last night, I woke up this morning, truck was covered in ice. so i started it up and turned the defrost on. came back a little later and Water was leaking in from the passenger side.

it was coming out of the top screw hole on the grab handle on the a-pillar.

anyone had any issues like this. I have a sunroof but I dont think it would be causing aleak like that.

YUP! I had the same problem in my 2005. Took it in to the dealer and there is a recall on those door seals. Had them replaced and nothing has been wrong ever since.

It is the sunroof. There is some type of drain tube connected to the sunroof of which many others have had come disconnected or plugged and it causes the pillar leak just like you specified. That is where the tube runs.

Mine did the same thing last week. Its a 2005 Regular cab with no sunroof. Water came in from the top screw hole on the handle on the front pillar.

I'm going to call the dealer this week and see what the deal is.

read the dodge technical bulletins about this. the door seals that run along the upper portion of the door and body need replacing. They corrected the problem for 2006 and up, but if yours is older, you need them replaced.

FYI: The drain tube for the factory installed sunroof runs down the passenger side pillar. There have been several instances where this tube has come disconnected allowing water to run down the inside of the pillar. Another indication if it has been leaking quite a bit is damp carpet on the passenger side under the floormat. If your weather seals look good that should be the next check. The weather seal wassuppose to beupdatedon 05 models.I understand the door seal issue but trust me, it's more than likely the drain tube if you have a sunroof.
