door lock noise ???
Somehow on our 2000 Durango the left passenger's door lock **** slipped behind the door panel, so I took the panel off andslipped it back up in the panel hole. When the doors lock, that door makes a loud buzzing sound near the rear of the door. What in the world could it be?Wife says the buzzing happened when the door **** slipped behind the panel and sometimes she has to manually unlock that door. Perhaps it is a relay that can be changed out. Anyone have a wiring schematic for the doors? Pics? Thanks!

I think it is called a door lock actuator, the door will lock and unlock with the key fob, its just making an irritating sound. [:@] I can't find this part online, any help? Thanks!

HERE! is the correct link below. Read through the info and you will get everything you need to fix it, part #s, How-to's on the install are in the last post at the bottom, etc.
How do I know all this is in there? I wrote it... that's how. [sm=smiley1.gif]

RE: door lock noise ???
IndyDurango, Thanks for the excellent and informative thread!!! My D has been making this noise from the driver's side for about a year now, and I have been putting it off thinking it was either too hard or too expensive. Dealer told me it would be about $350. The information you included on the other site was comprehensive and has led me to realize I can do this myself. THANKS!!!!
I will post again when I have completed my repair...
