Look in the DIY section. There is a couple tranny rebuild threads. Not to mention the free service manual downloads.

you can get a really good paper manual for the tranny from Axiom tranistar, where most transmission shops get parts and they sell the rebuild kit as well. hope you have a really stout press for the BIG spring.
I replaced my transmission about a year ago and had all kinds of problems with the sensors/wiring inside the tranny. It was a rebuilt one , and the sensors were not replaced. It is worth pricing the rebuild out, especially if you take install out of it, it may be close enough to the parts cost that its worth the peace of mind to pay a little xtra for a pro transmission builder to d the work and have that truck running without spending multiple nights and lots of gas to the parts store, and always wondering if you did it all perfectly. just sayin I may have tried this and then gone out and bought a rebuilt one!!!

I'm trying to tighten the kick down band strut on my 98 ridge ram 1500 5.9 4 wheel drive. Any suggestions?
