RE: Sport Compact cars project srt-4
And so begins the sport compact debate. Here are my two cents if anyone cares haha...
When i think of a sport compact i think of an affordable car that is easy to tune and make faster/perform better than a car that would cost twice as much. With that in mind there are some exceptions. Now at first there were a couple of guys messing with some hondas, acuras, and a couple nissans. "Underground" This all comes mainstream. Its looked upon as the second coming of motor heads. When Detroit muscle cost nothing to own and throwing a blower on one was insane. A true sport compact i believe sould be left looking as stock as possible. If you choose to make it look all "hooked up" it better damn well go that fast. Is the new Lotus a compact and a sports car??? By definiton yes. Would i rather buy a Corvette (sorry i know dodge forum) for the same amount.. hells yes. There inlies the question. I believe the Lotus is to expensive to include. The NSX is a waste of time and money. Would much rather own a Viper (the true bang for the buck) for the same cost. Plus the Viper won't lose its value as fast. I would set my cost maximum set at an S2000. Any thing below that in the "sport ", "compact" market should be fair game. BUT WE ALL KNOW ITS WHO CROSSES THE FINISH LINE FIRST THAT MATTERS.
Tune on SRT-4 owners, because only one company made the right car for the right price and supplies the right products and information to make you go faster than anyone else.
