The 90-92's are the quicker cars due to the addition of dual catalytic converters, different cam and a switch to Speed Density engine management versus the early style MAF which is extremely restrictive. There's usually a solid .5 second difference between the two in stock form and it only gets worse with mods because of the afore mentioned MAF restriction. That's exactly why I chose the '91. I considered a 4th gen car but to me they look like a Geo Storm on Steriods. The LT1 is a great engine design but I'm not a fan of that body style. As far as the SRT-4's, I've raced a couple guys from this board out at the track and both ran pretty consistent. They were pretty much set up the same. One ran 13.9-14.0 and the other 14.2. The quicker car would reel me in at the top of the track but couldn't quite catch me before the end. The slower car would fall several cars back off the line and stay there for the distance. I'd have to say a mid 15 second SRT-4 is most likely driver and not the car.
