Default 05 2500 very hard to shift out of park

just got this truck and it wasn't too hard shifting, now after a week of driving it, it is so hard I have to yank it and it will go. Shifts through the rest of the gears perfect. Thanks, any help would be great.

Parking on incline, pressing on brake before you touch the lever? Grabbing that lever as soon as it turns over? Are you doing anything like that? The tranny will shift hard before the oil spreads out in itbut it usually happens sofast you wouldn't know it unless, like I said, you grab the lever and shift immediately after letting go of the key. Is it brand new or used? Year, eng, mileage?

truck is flat as can be and even after it warms up after awhile. I took it all apart under the dash to find the safety solenoid, unhooked it and still the same problem. Unhooked it from the tranny and there is nothing grabbing throughout the shift cable. It takes a screwdriver to make the tranny linkage move out of park. It has to be something in it. Truck is a 05 2500 4x4 reg. cab, long bed with 62,xxx miles.
